Project 2 Status Update

I just purchased the head first HTML book, and I have the homepage content uploaded. I just need to format it so that all the information is centered. I will sometime this week add my three linked pages and complete the content. Also, I need to research how the CSS style sheets should be coded.

Project 2 Update

I created a frame in photoshop of what I wanted my site to look like:

The first image is the home page, the small boxes will act as the links to get to the other three pages. I will have a portfolio page an about page and a events page.

The events page will be added to later when multimedia is covered and I can include short videos.

Challenges thus far...

1. I need to figure out how to code the CSS for the home page, and at this point don't know exactly how to center my image at the top of the screen.

*I also need to make my logo background pure white.

2. I am having trouble finding out how to set up links to the other pages.

3. I dont exactly know where to start with CSS style sheets for the rest of my pages.

I generally feel like I am having more error than successful trials when trying to figure out how to put things where they belong. I got as far as coding the image in HTML and will need to improve on item #1 before moving forward. I am a bit discouraged by the software that was so easily demonstrated in class that I cant seem to get working on my own. I have a tiny start to what seems like a big project. Will spend a bit of my vacation time trying to figure it out.
