The web is evolving so quickly, and with the development of new devices such as the iPhone, more and more people are getting their daily information on the go, or online at work. Even print media is beginning to shift more of their resources to digital assets. I believe that the future of the web is going to turn to a much quicker real time syndication of new stories and events. Bloggers are beginning to gain popularity since they are communicating in a more free flowing casual environment. The web offers a bit more of a space that if you aim to be formal, you can definitely write in that style, but if you care to be a bit more informal, chances are when it comes to web communication, you will gather a few more readers. I anticipate the communication of the web growing and opening up more freedom of content. The web being free, and easily accessible makes it a more approachable.
